< Captains Courageous Festival >
Saturday March 6th 9am–9:30pm
A special event for all ages featuring Captains Courageous, Rudyard Kipling’s classic adventure novel, and film adaptation, about a spoiled rich boy who is rescued by Gloucester fishermen.
The all-day event includes community volunteers reading segments of the novel (starting at Cape Ann Museum at 9am), tours, children’s and family programs, a performance by sea shanty singers, Three Sheets to the Wind and a showing of Captains Courageous (1937 film) starring Spencer Tracy at the Cape Ann Community Cinema at 7:30pm. Come one, come all.
For information, a complete schedule or to volunteer, contact: info@searts.org or 978-281-1222
made some shadowboxes for prints that we had yet to frame. Came out pretty good and what’s better is that I’m having fun making stuff again
Picked up a bunch of fish from a show Outside of Boston and will getting them on etsy and in the hive soon.
After deciding to move out of our Rockport location, I really wanted to consolidate my efforts and get rid of all the excess junk that having a large studio allows you to collect. Carved out a little space in our basement to store tools and work on smaller projects with the intention of doing most work on the big worktable outside. Really excited to be where I am and to start to focus on sculpture work again.
Finally finished this bamboo skewer knife holder for Jeremy of Cape Ann Brewing. Gotta give huge credit to Rob Huss whose mathematical and geometry skills far surpass mine.
